Project

Aqua Dining

Project Overview

Located on the corner of Northcliff Street and Paul Street, Milsons Point, this project involved certifying the structural and façade design for the new Aqua Dining development, part of the broader North Sydney Olympic Pool precinct. In a prominent harbourside location, the design needed to be verified against wind actions, permanent and imposed loads and seismic requirements, and to align with the existing site Building Code of Australia (BCA) report covering fire and structural performance. Brushwood's role was to certify that the structural and façade design met the required Australian Standards and Building Code provisions, giving the builder and stakeholders confidence to proceed with construction.

Our Scope

  • Certified the structural and façade design across the full suite of structural drawings prepared for the venue.
  • Assessed the design against the relevant Australian Standards covering structural actions and steel, concrete, timber and aluminium structures.
  • Reviewed the design alongside the existing site BCA report to confirm compliance with the applicable National Construction Code provisions.
  • Issued a formal Structural Design Certificate confirming the design met all required standards and codes.
