Façade Engineer
Oxford & Foley, also known as The Darlinghurst Collection, spans three heritage buildings along Oxford Street, a landmark stretch of Sydney's built heritage being sensitively restored and redeveloped by Toga. Brushwood was engaged to set the engineering performance requirements for the façade, covering everything from window and door systems to weatherproofing, glazing and finishes, so the finished façade would perform reliably for decades while respecting the character of the original architecture. Alongside this, Brushwood advised on a detail specific to heritage buildings of this era: whether traditional lead flashing was appropriate for the parapets and sandstone ledges, balancing heritage authenticity against modern health and safety standards
Framing the Cronulla waterfront with the only frameless glass design along the water, where nothing gets between the residents and the view.
Wrapping Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital in engineered glass and aluminium, built to last the life of the building.
Engineered aesthetic cladding and signage solutions for Darling Square's vibrant precinct.
