War Machine

Project Overview

War Machine is the Netflix film starring Alan Ritchson, now one of the ten most-watched movies in the platform's history. The machine at its centre is not CGI. It is a real, drivable vehicle, and Brushwood were engaged as the specialist engineers on both the machine itself and the set pieces around it. It is exactly the kind of task Brushwood is brought in for: high-risk, one-off and needing serious engineering behind it.

Our Scope

  • Provided specialist structural engineering for the War Machine itself, a real, drivable vehicle rather than a CGI creation.
  • Engineered the set pieces built around the machine, so the production could film safely on and around it.
  • Worked alongside the Illusions build team to bring one-off designs from concept through to completed construction.
  • Delivered the high-risk, bespoke engineering a production of this scale depends on, where getting it wrong is not an option.
