Woodberry Village Stormwater Remediation

Project Overview

At Woodberry Village, an aged care facility on Lanhams Road in Winston Hills, Brushwood supported stormwater remedial works to keep residents and the site safe during heavy rain. Because the property sits on a flood control lot, the drainage needed extra care to meet strict planning rules designed to protect the site and surrounding area from flooding. Brushwood reviewed and certified the stormwater upgrades, making sure rainwater is properly captured and directed away from the building, giving Anglicare confidence the works meet all required building and planning standards.

Our Scope

  • Reviewed and certified remedial stormwater drainage works for the aged care facility, including downpipes and rainwater fittings.
  • Confirmed the design meets Australian plumbing and drainage standards, covering both general stormwater drainage and domestic-scale installations.
  • Verified compliance with the National Construction Code and the state planning rules that apply to properties on flood control lots.
  • Certified that the completed works are suitable for use, giving the project a clear sign-off for this sensitive, safety-focused site.
